League Roster:
All teams must submit a full roster before the first night.
Players will be given an admission card on the first night to
allow them entry into the Y on subsequent nights. Security is
very strict at this facility.

All teams make playoffs. Prizes to first and 2nd place teams

League Master Roster:
All league players are listed here. Anyone not on this
roster will not be on the list of players allowed in to the gym
and will cause a forfeit if used for a game

NEW TEAMS
ACCEPTED ON A 1ST COME 1ST SERVED BASIS. Go to
Active.com to pay the registration fee that reserves your spot.
Recreational and Competitive 6s
Divisions: A total of 12 teams will be accepted in
groups of 6 to fill the 4 available courts. Get your registration in
quickly to insure that your team will be accepted. # of courts/division
will be based on the number of teams that register.
League Times:
7-9 pm or 9-11 pm (Teams play/referee ½
of the time in the early session and ½ in the late session throughout
the season.)
Monday or Tuesday night. Pick your night and play against the other 5
teams registered for that night leading up to combined Monday/Tuesday
playoffs the last week of the season
Dates: 10 week season including playoffs
Fall League:
Monday Night: 11/7/11 - 1/9/12
Tuesday Night:
11/8/11 - 1/10/12
Spring League:
Monday Night: 1/23/12 - 3/26/12
Tuesday Night:
1/24/12 - 3/27/12
Directions:
Sunrise Hwy or Southern State Pkwy to Rte 110 South. Make right at end
of Rte 110 into Merrick Rd (Rte 27A). Right on Merrick Rd less than ¼
mile to Big Al’s family Fitness Center on right side. For Best

Divisions: Coed 6s - (min. 2 females on court at all times;
teams may start/play with only 1 female but will forfeit 3 points/game).
Recreational for novice to intermediate level
players, 2 females required
Playoffs- Single Elimination, all
teams from both nights combined (see
http://www.eevb.net/BigAlsPlayoffs.htm for playoff scheduling).
PLEASE NOTE THAT TEAMS WILL PLAY ON BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY DURING
PLAYOFFS.
Rosters: up to 10 players
per team (note - see prizes below).
Prizes: Awarded to top 2
teams in each division based on playoff results, maximum 8 prizes per
team for coed 6s.
Entry fees:
$480/team + Volley
America membership; Fall -
$440 with deposit
paid on Active.com by 10/15 and paid in full
by 10/25/11 (Balance can be mailed to
avoid Active.com service charge)
Spring -
$480/team,
$440 with deposit
paid on Active.com by 1/15 and paid in full

Forfeits: Teams that
forfeit without notifying EEVB and teams that forfeit twice will be
subject to expulsion from the league.

Memberships (Required for all players): $15/player if
done online, $20 if done at the gym (not recommended). Membership expires 12/31 of the
current calendar year.

Coed 4s King of the Beach Tournaments

Dec 10, 2011: Reverse coed played on a women's net.
Men can only spike behind 10 ft. line and cannot block

Jan 7, 2012: Reverse coed played on a women's net.
Men can only spike behind 10 ft. line and cannot block

February 11, 2012: Reverse coed played on a women's
net. Men can only spike behind 10 ft. line and cannot block

March 17, 2012: normal coed on men's net

April 21: normal coed on men's net
Format:
-
Coed pairs are matched with other coed pairs in a
rotational schedule that lets you play with 4 other pairs during
pool play. (The schedule/pool sheet can be viewed online at
http://www.eevb.net/Kingofbeachcoed4s.htm)

At the conclusion of pool play the top 6 pairs are
grouped into permanent 4-player teams for a single elimination
playoff.

Prizes are awarded to the top 2 teams (4 pairs)
after the playoffs

8 pairs per session. There has to be an even # of
pairs to make this work properly.
Entry Fee: $50/pair ($25/player) if
paid in full by Wednesday before event; $60 after Wed.
Pay through
Active.com only which is set up to automatically cut off when the #
of registrations equals 8
