League Times: 6:30-8:30 pm or 8:30-10:30 pm (Teams play/referee ½ of the time in the early session and ½ in the late session throughout the season.)
Monday or Tuesday night. Pick your night and play against the other 5 teams registered for that night leading up to combined Monday/Tuesday playoffs the last week of the season

Dates: 10 week season including playoffs

Fall League:

Monday Night: NO MONDAY NIGHT LEAGUE IN FALL 2012

Tuesday Night: 11/6/12 - 1/22/13

Spring League:

Monday Night: 2/4/13 - 4/11/13

Tuesday Night: 2/5/13 - 4/12/13

Directions: Sunrise Hwy or Southern State Pkwy to Rte 110 South. Make right at end of Rte 110 into Merrick Rd (Rte 27A). Right on Merrick Rd less than ¼ mile to Big Al’s family Fitness Center on right side. For Best Directions: Go to Yahoo.com, click on maps, (631)264-7114 for directions only

Divisions: Coed 6s - (min. 2 females on court at all times; teams may start/play with only 1 female but will forfeit 3 points/game). Recreational for novice to intermediate level players, 2 females required
Playoffs- Single Elimination, all teams from both nights combined (see http://www.eevb.net/BigAlsPlayoffs.htm for playoff scheduling). PLEASE NOTE THAT TEAMS WILL PLAY ON BOTH MONDAY AND TUESDAY DURING PLAYOFFS.
Rosters: up to 10 players per team.
Prizes: Awarded to top 2 teams in each division based on playoff results.
Entry fees: $480/team + Volley America membership; ($440 if paid in full by 10/25/12 and 1/16/13 respectively) . Paying the deposit online guarantees your spot. You can then mail a check for the balance to avoid the Active.com service fee.) (BEST VALUE: entry fee for paying both sessions before 1st season is $850).

Forfeits: Teams that forfeit without notifying EEVB and teams that forfeit twice will be subject to expulsion from the league.

Entry Procedure:

1. Download roster and email it to eevb@i-2000.com

2. Pay deposit or full entry fee at Active.com. Please note that discounted fees are programmed to go offline at designated times and cannot be honored once they disappear. Please pre-register on time for the lowest entry fee.

3. Checks will be accepted as long as they ARRIVE by cut off dates. Mail checks to EEVB, PO Box 49, Hampton Bays, NY 11946

Volley America Memberships (Required for all players): $15/player if done online, $20 if done at the gym (not recommended). Membership expires 12/31 of the current calendar year. ANY MEMBERSHIP DONE AFTER NOVEMBER 1 2012 AND THE MEMBERSHIP WILL GO THROUGH DEC 31, 2013

• All members must renew at the first league of the new year.

• ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE Volley America #s BEFORE THE FIRST NIGHT OF PLAY.

• Volley America is a grass roots organization whose goal is to promote beach volleyball throughout the US and bring in better benefits for players of all levels.

Coed 4s King of the Beach Tournaments

Dates: 2nd Saturday of each month

• Dec 8, 2012: Reverse coed played on a women's net. Men can only spike behind 10 ft. line and cannot block

• Jan 12, 2013: normal coed on men's net

• February 9, 2013: Reverse coed played on a women's net. Men can only spike behind 10 ft. line and cannot block

• March 9, 2013: normal coed on men's net

• April 13, 2013: Reverse coed played on a women's net. Men can only spike behind 10 ft. line and cannot block

Format:

• Coed pairs are matched with other coed pairs in a rotational schedule that lets you play with 4 other pairs during pool play. (The schedule/pool sheet can be viewed online at http://www.eevb.net/Kingofbeachcoed4s.htm)

• At the conclusion of pool play the top 6 pairs are grouped into permanent 4-player teams for a single elimination playoff.

• Prizes are awarded to the top 2 teams (4 pairs) after the playoffs

• 8 pairs per session. There has to be an even # of pairs to make this work properly.

Entry Fee: $60/pair ($30/player) if paid in full by Tuesday before event; $70 after Tuesday. NO REFUNDS. If you cannot play you can pick another team to take over your spot and entry fee. Please note the entry fee is only increased this winter if you sign up late. Sign up by Sunday before the event and the fees have remained the same as previous years which also makes this event much easier to plan. Thanks for your cooperation.
