Letter from Hugh Riley to all of the 2007 participants in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico

November 8, 2007

Dear Friend of the Caribbean:

Thank you for participating in the first Annual Caribbean Beach Volleyball Championships.

As you know, the qualifier tournaments began on Long Island, New York in June and worked their way down the East Coast of the US, with the Championship Finals having been held in Puerto Rico this past weekend, November 3&4.  And what a finale it was!  Altogether a group of 90 players and officials, friends and family, prize winners and media joined us for a truly exciting weekend.

The winners were Iwona Lodzik of Chicago and Aleksandra Wolak of Jersey City, New Jersey in the women's division; and Michael Salak of New York City and Seidu Ajanako of Fulton, Missouri in the men's division.  JUJU Colina of Tampa, Florida won a special award for exemplifying the spirit of sportsmanship and hospitality for which the Caribbean is well known.  Eric LeCain of New York City won the sweepstakes drawing of a trip for two to next year's championship finale in the Caribbean.  Please click here www.CaribbeanBeachFun.com for a gallery of photographs.

Our special thanks go to Richard Heiles of East End Volleyball our dedicated partner in this venture, without whose guidance and expertise the Caribbean Beach Volleyball Championships could not have been such a success.  Rich and his team of associates, and all of us at the Caribbean Tourism Development Company look forward to having you with us again next year.

Keep watching www.CaribbeanTravel.com and www.EEVB.net for details.

Please give us the benefit of your feedback.  Let us know how we can make next year's tournaments even more exciting and rewarding for you.

Again, thank you for your participation!

Sincerely,

Hugh Riley
