• 2011 League/clinic programs

  • Schedule/Location: Each night is a separate program with separate fees

    • Cedar Beach in Town of Babylon - Tuesday evenings June 14 – August 16 (10 weeks)

    • E. Quoque: Wednesday evenings June 15 – August 17 (10 weeks)

  • Time: 6:15 pm until sunset.

  • Ages: 8 to 18 (open to anyone under 18 up to the summer before they enter their senior year in high school)

  • Divisions:

    • 8-10 years old: beginner (Cedar only)

    • 11-13: very basic volleyball skills

    • 14-18 years old: more advanced

  • Players will be broken up mostly by skill level. Ages are used mainly as a starting point to break players into groups.

  • Details: The goal of the program is to teach players basic volleyball skills in a non-competitive environment. Any games played will be without scoring to avoid placing too much pressure on winning and to place focus on performing

    • All divisions will have coaches teaching players the basic skills. The first part of the evening will include a coaching session followed by organized games for players to practice their new skills.
      Players may be moved during the season as their skills improve.

    • League will be run on lower nets to allow players to learn spiking and blocking skills as well as serving and defensive skills.
      Main coaches will have high school and college level coaching experience.

  • Costs: $160/player includes:

  • League t-shirt

  • Spalding King of the Beach All Weather Volleyball, the official ball of EEVB

  • Weekly coaching sessions

  • Organized games

  • Volunteers are welcome to help organize games and to learn from league’s coaches

  • Fee covers entry into 1 league: Tuesday @ Cedar or Tuesday @ E. Quogue.

  • Additional costs: Mandatory Volley America Memberships (Required for all players): $15/player if done online. Membership covers 1 calendar year from 1/1 to 12/31.
    ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE Volley America #’s before the 1st night of the league
